About every six months or so the "spoiler warnings" debate crops up with most people planted firmly on one side or the other and no amount of arguing on either side appears to make any difference. I had noticed that people seemed to be very accepting of the white-on-white coding compromise used to obscure some spoilers. And that made me wonder if it's the presence of the spoilers themselves or the format in which they are presented that makes some people dislike them.
